In today’s article, I’m going to share more about my life routines across the realm of energy/health, work, and relationships and the 3 principles that have governed these routines.

Many of us understand the importance of habits that compound. But what I’ve found most valuable is looking at what other people I look up to in certain areas of life and being observant of their routines. What are they doing daily, weekly, monthly?

I’ve paid people thousands just to find out. Why? Because success leaves clues.

I’ve been obsessed about finding out how people manage to stay super fit and healthy whilst succeeding in business whilst raising a happy family and remaining internally grounded and creating great art.

It’s 7am and my alarm goes off. It’s still dark outside and my head feels like a ton of weights wanting to remain dormant on the pillow. As I try to figure out what day it is, my right hand lobs itself over to grab my phone.

I open my eyes and gleamingly look to find YouTube. There was one video by Les Brown I played in the morning during this period of my life.

I was 26 years old. Working as an analyst in a consulting job. It was one of the most difficult times in my life. I was lost. I didn't know who I was. I was unfulfilled.

This one habit of listening to positive audio first thing in the morning transformed my life. It led to many others that compounded and came together like an orchestra that then created a lifestyle.

As I share my current daily routine with you, my intention isn’t to show off. It’s taken me 8 years to get to this point.

I’m sharing this so it may inspire you to steal one and make it your own. These are not perfect - there are times I slip up on a few. But this is generally what I follow.

Principle 1: Book End Your Days

This is a principle I learned from Darren Hardy in his Book The Compound Effect. The premise being you can control how you start and end each day. In the middle, many things in life are thrown at you, but if you can control the controllable you can perform and whilst staying grounded.

Principle 2: You fall to the level of your systems

One of my favourite quotes from James Clear’s books is “You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.” It’s not about the goal, its about the daily systems you have in place that take you to your goal.

Principle 3: Masterpiece days

Have you ever reflected on if you have all the money and freedom on the world, what would your ideal day look like? When I did this, I realised I didn’t need a lot of money to live my ideal day now. I was free to create my idea day right now. It’s likely that you can too. Our days can be seen as masterpieces, because over time, our days create our years, our years create our lives!

I see my day as a masterpiece. I manage to have a full time job, create my art, work on my business, whilst spending time with my family and looking after my health. How? Because of thee systems I’ve built.

Let’s break it down…
